Karen Zhao

Shurun(Allen) Fan graduated from Southeast University in 1995 and worked in the cardiothoracic Surgery department at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. He was promoted to deputy chief physician in 2008. From 2006-2009, he studied Acupuncture and Tui Na at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine for three years. After moving to the United States, he studied Chinese medicine in the East-West Medicine University, received the master’s degree, and obtained the California acupuncturist license. In nearly 30 years of his clinical work, Dr. Fan has accumulated rich experience in traditional Chinese and western medicine, especially in the treatment of cardiovascular and lung diseases. He also has rich experience in neck, shoulder, back, and leg pain and sports injuries. He focuses on providing individualized, comprehensive, and integrated treatment plans according to the characteristics of each patient to achieve the optimal treatment effect.
Wenting (Karen) Zhao specializes in women’s health, postpartum recovery, nutrition, digestive health, stress and pain management. She is passionate about the relationships between physical, mental and emotional components to wellness.
Wenting is greatly benefited from acupuncture and herbs in her own journey with women’s health and internal medicine and is dedicated to helping others who are seeking an alternative and holistic approach to address their health concerns. She loves to share her knowledge about herbal medicine and nutritious eating to empower her patients for greater well-being.
Wenting hold a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of East-West Medicine and is a California State Board Licensed Acupuncturist. She started her career journey in Chinese Medicine since 2015, before that she is a researcher in consumer psychology. She also takes continuing education for more holistic and natural healing modalities. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
